Welcome to she dreams of stars. I'm Christine Love, and this is where all the stories I write-- mostly science fiction shorts-- are published. If it's your first time, you can read an introduction here, and I'd recommend you start reading with Two Flight Recruit. And if you do, I'd really appreciate it if you took a minute and sent me an e-mail, just so I know there are people reading. Thanks, and please enjoy.

Nuclear Autumn is finally finished! The entirety of the novel is now posted here. It's still only 45 000 words, which, even after 4 months, isn't long enough to "win" NaNoWriMo. But hey, it's finished.
December 14, 2007
Three more chapters of Nuclear Autumn are up; just three more to write, and the whole thing will be up and finished. This marks the halfway point of what's been posted so far.
December 10, 2007
Happy birthday to me.
I didn't win NaNoWriMo this year, but I got 38 000 words finished; no small feat. The story's almost finished, so I'll be uploading it in chunks over the next month or two. Here's the first four chapters of Nuclear Autumn.
September 12, 2007
After my failure to materialize anything at NaNoWriMo last November, I haven't even been bothering to update this page whenever I put up anything new. Nobody is currently looking at this, so it doesn't really matter, anyway.
I've changed the way the sidebar works entirely, though, because I was starting to have too many stories listed for it to work effectively. You now have to click on the story name to see the stories in the series.
June 10, 2006
The prologue to God Save The Queen is now up, which is the big project I'm going to be working on over the summer is.
June 9, 2006
School's nearly out, so I've got a lot more time now. Expect something big over the summer; or at least, expect me to pretend I'll be finishing something big over the summer. No, really. I promise! Man, these newsposts sure just make me feel like I'm talking to myself. I don't really know why I bother.
I am finished with Michelle Mars and the Mars Quartet. Here's the final part, The Song Remains The Same.
March 29, 2006
Four months? Four months?! What the hell is wrong with me? That's awful!
I've updated the next chapter, It's Not a Question of Trust, which is ridiculously long for no good reason. I can't believe I haven't updated for four months, and when I do, it's completely the wrong length. I think I've gotten over my problem of writing too little the entirely wrong way.
December 3, 2005
Okay... new short story up. I confess to only having finished it because of a fairly important self-imposed deadline; I don't know when the second part to the story will be done, but I suspect I'll be working on something else first. Either way, the first part of The Mars Quartet set of two stories, Extraordinary Girl is now up. It's a bit of a departure from what I normally write, but I think it turned out just fine.
October 30, 2005
One of these days, I'll update more than once a month. One of these days.
Until then, here's the story that comes after Fenelle Falls, On The Run. I've almost got the ideas for a couple of standalone short stories worked out, so I think I'm going to be focusing on those for a while now. Maybe.
July 20, 2005
I've started another series of stories... I don't know if it's going to last, but I'd really like to get a lot more done than just the New Justice ones. I also want to get a lot more standalone stories done over the summer.
Anyway, it's called Fenelle Falls, and I'm hoping I'll get a better title than The Woman of a Thousand Faces figured out soon.
July 13, 2005
An all new New Justice story has been published, titled Her. I don't know if the next story that I write will be another New Justice one, or something different altogether, but I'm heavily leaning on the latter. Anyway... still trying to do more writing for the summer!
June 26, 2005
Okay, Ain't Gonna Take It has actually been uploaded this time. Sorry about that.
June 23, 2005
Remember what I said about rewriting the other early Steal Justice stories? I just finished the second, now titled Ain't Gonna Take It. Again, leagues better, I think; and it'll be something interesting rewriting the next one to work better with it.
That new New Justice story might be coming soon. Might not. I'm going to be trying to do a lot more writing over the summer; something I say every year, but I mean it, this time. Honest!
June 11, 2005
I swear, it's like redesigning this site is turning into an annual event. Oh well. I think this is far better, easier on the eyes; and I've been needing a new title for a while.
May 8, 2005
I've started to rewrite some of the early Steal Justice stories; they were written at the end of grade 7 and the start 8, and frankly, it shows. Since that's not my best work, I'm working on replacing the earlier ones with updated versions, that reflect my development as a writer. The first part has been replaced, and is now titled Reckless. I encourage anyone to read it, as it's a far better told story than Careful, the original version. I'll work on the other few early ones later.
March 13, 2005
At long last, Two Flight Recruit's been published. For a long time, I've had the trouble of not being able to show people my best writing without them needing to read through backstory that... well, isn't exactly my best stuff. This story stands alone, and it's longer than my stories usually are. So please, go, and read it. It's good, I swear.
That New Justice story that I mentioned last update will come out eventually. Probably soon. I've already started it, it just got put on the backburner for Two Flight Recruit (why aren't you reading it?).
December 29, 2004
Uh... in the last New Justice story, there's a slight problem. Polarity seems to know things about Ken, that in fact, she seems to have no reason to know. That'll teach me to pay attention to previous events while writing; but don't worry, I'll straighten it all out next story. No, really. I swear.
